Melanie Foster is a freelance landscape photographer.
Problem
Melanie's old website was flash-based and had no way of easy content management. She needed a website which she could keep up to date with her latest news and photos.
Solution
We created a dark and modern design centered around the idea of horizontal display. Using javascript motion equations, we were able to scroll the browser to focus in on selected images and show information about them.
The bespoke CMS allows the easy management of news articles and the portfolio itself. New images can be uploaded are automatically resized to the correct dimensions before being stored on the server. The ordering of the images within the portfolio categories is also adjustable using the drag-and-drop functionality of the script.aculo.us javascript framework.
