Chris van Aurich, Director at the High Wycombe based Creative Agency Artlines Media, has completed this year's 10K run at Dorney Lake on behalf of Cancer Research UK. Along with over 2,000 other runners this is a fantastic achievement considering it was his first ever competitive race. Crossing the line on 58 minutes, his ten minute mile estimation proved correct. Friends and family members attended the event and although tired, Chris was very pleased to have raised money for such a worth while charity.
"I was more surprised by donations from people I didn't even know." said the man himself after the race. "I have trained quite a bit and my body is as fit as it has even been. I really enjoyed today and I think it is reasonable to assume that I will run another charity race like this again at some point. People can still log on to the website and donate even though this year's event is over."
